Peter Coe and the World Owl Trust at Muncaster Castle Join Forces

For those of you that visited Muncaster Castle last Summer, you may have been lucky enough to see something quite unique.

Peter Coe was asked by the World Owl Trust to demonstrate a rare talent; painting bird portraits directly on to feathers! For one weekend, visitors to Muncaster Castle could see Pete create these wonderful works of art.

Due to the public response from these paintings, The World Owl Trust and Peter Coe have joined forces to offer a selection of unique gifts that are now on sale. The first is a Hand Crafted Clock with a stunning face painted and designed by Peter Coe. The clocks are all hand-made and are available in a variety of finishes.

Pete has also been working hard over the Winter months by creating more bird-on-feather paintings; this time however Pete has been painting on owl feathers, donated by the World Owl Trust - The staff at the World Owl Trust have been helping Pete by collecting the owls shed feathers, allowing Pete to create beautiful one-off works of art that you will never see elsewhere.

A selection of Pete's feather paintings have been shown at several Art exhibitions in Cumbria over the past year, the result of which ended up with each one being sold. To find out more about Pete's unique paintings please don't hesitate to request more information using the contact form.
